RSVP: Public Lecture for Central Saint Martins' MA Students at HKU SPACE

One of the APAC Focus advisors from IGCS, based in South Korea, will be visiting Hong Kong to deliver a special mini public lecture for the MA students (Hong Kong Cohort) of Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London. The event is open to everyone, and attendees are warmly encouraged to join.

The lecture will explore the role of the private sector, particularly in the creative and cultural industries, within the United Nations' vision for sustainable and intergenerational development. It will examine how perspectives on sustainable development and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria have evolved to increasingly acknowledge the transformative influence of private sector investment, especially in arts, culture, and creative sectors.

Additionally, the session will consider how these perspectives might shift beyond 2030, as humanity faces an uncertain future marked by disruptive AI technologies, geopolitical uncertainties, and global climate challenges.

Participants Speaker:

Prof. Soo-hyun Lee Expert, UN Development Programme; Assistant Professor & Head of Department (Economic Laws), University of Suwon; Advisor, APAC Focus, IGCS

Moderator:

Bryan Luk Program Director & Research Lead, APAC Focus, IGCS

This event promises to offer valuable insights into the intersection of private sector roles and sustainable development goals, making it a significant opportunity for students and the public alike.
