APAC Focus, IGCS is proud to have been a strategic partner for the recent enlightening event "War and Peace—Regional Conflicts and Humanitarian Efforts," which was mainly hosted by the hashtag#HKU Graduation Association and co-hosted by the Leo Club of Ho Man Tin and held on September 28, 2024, at The University of Hong Kong


This impactful seminar brought distinguished speakers who offered unique perspectives on global conflicts and humanitarian work.


Key highlights of the event:


1. Dr. Brian Wong, Assistant Professor in Philosophy at HKU, provided a sobering look at the true face and tragedy of ongoing regional and global conflicts.


2. Ms. Amy Fung, CEO of World Vision Hong Kong, shared her first-hand experiences in Somaliland and offered valuable insights into humanitarian efforts in fragile regions.


3. Ms. Angel Ng, founder of Travella and accomplished author, recounted her personal interactions with war-affected individuals in Israel and Palestine.


Each speaker contributed a distinct angle to the complex dynamics of war and peace, making for a truly thought-provoking discussion. Events like these underscore the importance of staying informed about global issues of war and conflicts and the critical role of humanitarian efforts in conflict zones.
