The seminar aims to explore the role of India in the BRICS organization and its potential impact on the future of the global economy and delve into the unique opportunities and challenges that India faces as a member of the BRICS group and discuss India's and MENA perspectives on its future. It is an excellent opportunity for those interested in global economics and international affairs to gain a deeper understanding of India's role in the BRICS.
We are honored to invite two AsiaGlobal Fellows from India and North Africa to speak at a discussion forum on "BRICS & Its Future: Perspectives from India and the Middle East and North Africa." They will share their views on the recent development of the BRICS countries and explore their future directions, opportunities, and challenges. These two distinguished speakers have extensive and diverse frontline experiences in global economy, international business and investment.
Anisse Terai is managing director and partner at Tell Group, an investment management firm focused on emerging markets. He is also an affiliated professor and the scientific advisor of the Energy & Strategy Program at ESAA Business School. He is an expert of the African Continental Free Trade Area, energy transition, and multilateral affairs, including BRICS, G20, and the WTO. Previously, Anisse worked for the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, in different high-level managerial positions, on public policy, economic affairs, institutional partnerships, investment management, international trade, and corporate & infrastructure finance. He was assistant dean at the Paris School of International Affairs at Sciences Po, and has been teaching and supervising graduate students at Sciences Po, HEC Paris and the University of Paris-Dauphine.
Prasoon Sharma is currently the CEO of Pradivya Software Pvt Ltd. He has worked in and traveled to more than 20 countries including the UK, China, Indonesia, and has 15 years of global experience in corporate planning, handling government relationships, strategic planning, successful planning, and achieving country/regional sales targets, telecom, and IT pre-sales. He facilitated a $6 billion investment from China and created $450 million worth of projects in the Indian smart city and e-governance domain. He initiated a new era of cooperation between India-China during Indian Prime Minister- Modi’s May 2015 China visit by signing MoU for developing smart cities in Gujarat in the presence of the Gujarat Chief Minister – Anandiben. He also represented India at the 5th India-China Strategic Economic Dialogue 2018 (SED) as a member of the policy coordination group.
