Pradipta Oli

APAC Partner (Nepal Chapter)

Pradipta Oli is a licensed advocate, duly qualified to operate within the esteemed Supreme Court of Nepal. Her area of expertise lies in legal research, public policy, and rights-based development. She currently serves as a Research Officer at Nepal in Data (Bikas Udhyami), where she provides legal and policy analysis to support governance reform, institutional strengthening, and data-informed decision-making. Her role involves coordinating research initiatives, producing policy-relevant publications, and engaging with stakeholders across public, private, and development sectors.


Prior to this, she worked as a Legal Associate in the Policy and Research Department at Arch Legal Services, where she contributed to legal drafting, regulatory analysis, and advisory services for national and international clients. Her legal work focused on environmental governance, infrastructure law, and compliance documentation.


In addition to her professional engagements, she is actively involved in global and community-based advocacy. She contributes to the Legal Taskforce of the World’s Youth for Climate Justice (WYCJ), supporting international legal efforts around climate accountability, and serves as the Kathmandu City Lead of Nepal for Women and Climate, promoting inclusive climate action at the grassroots level. She is affiliated with the Young Female Leaders Forum and is an alumnus of the Aspire Leaders Program.


Pradipta holds a Bachelor of Arts and Laws (LLB) from Kathmandu School of Law, with academic specialization in criminal law, international law, and environmental justice. Her work reflects a strong commitment to equity, justice, and the role of law in shaping inclusive and sustainable societies.

Established in 2012 by Prof. Luk Yan Lung Michael, the Institute for Greater China Studies (IGCS) has been quietly contributing to the field of scholarly research for approximately 12 years. The IGCS is dedicated to studying a wide range of political, social, economic, cultural, and public policy issues, with a special emphasis on the Greater China region, an important and continually evolving area of study in the contemporary world.
